Resonant Currents was an evening of immersive sound centered on practices of deep listening, featuring performances by Wu Zhuoling, yi yang, and SNOWW. The project brought together distinct practices from China’s experimental sound scene, presented side by side, with works that attend to sound as a way of relating to ecology, memory, and perception.

Taking place from sunset into night along the Northern California coast, the evening unfolded gradually in response to shifts in time, light, and listening.

In dialogue with the setting of Headlands Center for the Arts, the night itself became a time-based work in progress.

<Through·经过> is an experimental multi-sensory pop-up by Unfolding Grounds.

The evening brings together elements of Western culinary experience with the distinctive flavors of Chongqing cuisine and Chinese cocktail making. Food, sound, and visuals unfold together as a participatory dining experience.

At the center of the evening is the idea of passing through: how tastes, memories, and cultural references travel across places and people, and how they are transformed along the way.

For this gathering, we invited a group of artists, designers, writers, curators, and mothers based in California to share a night of food, conversation, and listening. It takes the form of a casual cultural salon where different practices and life experiences meet around the table. We bring together threads that rarely meet, allowing the experience itself to slowly ferment and unfold.
